The Curiosity Project Book is ideal for topic work; it is a template for children aged 8-16 to explore and delve deeper into any topic that they are interested in. You might also like to take a look at our Artist’s Yearbook {PDF}
The Curiosity Project Book allows children to have total freedom and complete control over their learning journey. We have purposefully designed it this way. They simply choose a topic that really interests them and use the learning prompts to complete their project. Our aim is that it inspires a thirst for knowledge, fosters self-motivated learning and encourages independence.
The Curiosity Project Book has been designed to largely be a ‘blank canvas’. We’d love your child to add to borders, to doodle as they think, to colour in their pictures and add whatever creative splashes of colour they feel like. It is theirs to personalise and we hope this gives them a sense of ownership and pride in their work. The activities can be completed in any order but it would make sense to end with the presentation once your child has had a good chance to fully explore their topic.

We (of course) advocate thoroughly researching any game before agreeing to your child playing it. In particular it is important to ensure the parental controls and safeguarding options are utilised as well as making sure your child understands how to be safe online. Many games offer the option to play offline, in a realm or using a private server. What age is this the Blocktastic Activity Pack 2 suitable for?
Our age recommendation for this pack is approximately 8-14 years. However, we always say that ability is very subjective; what will be right for one child won’t necessarily be right for another of the same age.
It may well be suitable for younger or older children depending on how enthusiastic they are about the game. The tasks can be completed to your child’s own level.
For example, A 14 year old may produce a complex response to a Lego challenge, independently solve numeracy puzzles, really go to town on the STEM tasks and take their self-led projects and science investigations to a much deeper level than a younger child. It is important to remember that our activity packs are not meant to mirror what a child has been doing in school, but are instead meant to engage them, spark their love of learning and most of all be FUN. Our own children (aged 7-13) have loved testing out these activities.
